Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and simulation problems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop error-corrected qubit architectures
- Lead research initiatives in topological quantum computing and fault tolerance
- Publish groundbreaking findings in peer-reviewed journals and industry conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
- Develop proprietary quantum software frameworks for commercial applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (required)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level quantum hardware interfaces
- Proven track record of translating theory to practical implementations
- Strong background in condensed matter physics or quantum information theory
