Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for error correction and optimization
- Lead prototyping of superconducting qubit systems at millikelvin temperatures
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams on cryogenic control system integration
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure $5M+ in DARPA/NASA research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on quantum circuit development experience
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum frameworks
- Familiarity with cryogenic engineering and superconducting systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Proven ability to translate complex quantum concepts into commercial applications
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government contracts
