Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for state agency networks, servers, and end-user hardware remotely.
- Monitor and maintain system performance during off-hours (Weekend Shift) to ensure business continuity and minimal downtime.
- Configure and troubleshoot remote access solutions (VPN, RDP, Citrix) for federal and state employees.
- Enforce compliance with federal and state cybersecurity protocols, including patch management and vulnerability assessments.
- Document technical incidents, resolutions, and system configurations in the Knowledge Base.
- Collaborate with on-site teams to resolve complex hardware and software issues escalated from the Help Desk.
- Assist in the migration and maintenance of legacy government systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in IT support, network administration, or systems engineering.
- Experience working in a government or highly regulated environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Ability to pass a background check and obtain necessary government security clearance.
- Flexibility to work rotating weekend shifts (e.g., Friday to Sunday).
