Responsibilities
- Design and implement virtual recreation programs for diverse age groups
- Coordinate park maintenance schedules and volunteer management
- Manage digital event registrations and community outreach initiatives
- Conduct remote safety training for park staff and volunteers
- Analyze community needs to develop equitable recreation opportunities
- Collaborate with city departments on green space development projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Public Administration, or related field
- 2+ years experience in parks/recreation program coordination
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Proficiency in virtual collaboration tools (Zoom, Microsoft Teams)
- Valid NYS driver's license with clean record
- Experience with grant writing for recreational projects
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion initiatives
