Responsibilities
- Operate heavy-duty sanitation trucks and compactors to collect residential and commercial waste.
- Collect, load, and transport recycling, yard debris, and trash along assigned routes.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Perform routine inspections of collection vehicles to ensure operational readiness.
- Communicate effectively with the public and fellow employees to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Report any road hazards, damaged equipment, or missed collections to supervisors immediately.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License (Class C) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform heavy physical labor, including lifting up to 75 lbs repeatedly.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions and varying shifts.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
