Responsibilities
- Operate sanitation trucks to collect residential/commercial waste on designated routes
- Perform routine maintenance on sanitation equipment and report mechanical issues
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during waste collection operations
- Assist with recycling programs and special waste collection events
- Maintain accurate route documentation and service quality logs
- Respond to citizen inquiries regarding sanitation services
- Participate in emergency weather response as needed
Qualifications
- Valid Nevada Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout shift
- Flexibility to work early morning hours (4:00 AM start)
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment operation
- Strong work ethic and commitment to public service
- Ability to work independently in all weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent required
