Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned areas of the government facility to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of premises.
- Monitor and operate surveillance cameras and access control systems effectively.
- Conduct regular inspections of doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are secure.
- Respond to alarms and emergency situations following established safety protocols.
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate logs of daily activities.
- Verify the identity of visitors and issue appropriate access passes.
- Assist in emergency evacuations and crowd control when necessary.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous security or law enforcement experience preferred.
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License required.
- Must be physically fit and able to stand/walk for extended periods.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions under pressure.
