Responsibilities
- Manage official city records, ordinances, and public documents with meticulous attention to detail
- Coordinate and prepare agendas/minutes for City Council and public board meetings
- Oversee municipal elections, voter registration, and compliance with election laws
- Process public records requests while maintaining legal confidentiality standards
- Supervise clerical staff and implement records management systems
- Serve as liaison between government departments and the public
- Ensure all municipal documentation meets state and federal requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of municipal government or public sector experience
- Certification as a Municipal Clerk (MMC) or equivalent preferred
- Proficiency in records management software and document imaging systems
- Deep knowledge of Texas open records laws and municipal governance
- Exceptional written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Valid Texas driver's license
