Join the City of Phoenix as a Senior City Clerk and become the guardian of civic integrity. Responsibilities
- Oversee all official city records, meeting minutes, and legislative documentation with absolute precision
- Administer municipal elections and voter registration processes in compliance with state/federal regulations
- Manage public records requests with prompt, legally compliant responses
- Serve as custodian of city seals, contracts, and official instruments
- Coordinate with city council and executive leadership on procedural matters
- Develop and implement records retention policies aligned with Arizona Revised Statutes
- Lead public-facing services including marriage licenses and business registrations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years municipal/government administrative experience
- Arizona Notary Public certification required
- Expertise in municipal records management systems (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Deep understanding of open meeting laws and public records statutes
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish
- Professional certification from International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) preferred
