Responsibilities
- Supervise all municipal record management, including retention policies and digital archiving
- Oversee election administration processes and voter registration compliance
- Prepare and certify official city council minutes, ordinances, and resolutions
- Manage public records requests and ensure compliance with Minnesota open records laws
- Coordinate with city departments on legislative tracking and public hearing notifications
- Lead staff training on record-keeping best practices and compliance standards
- Develop and implement records management technology solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of municipal government experience with 2+ years in supervisory role
- Minnesota Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Expert knowledge of Minnesota open records laws and election procedures
- Advanced proficiency in records management software and document automation
- Exceptional written communication skills for legal document preparation
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
