Responsibilities
- Manage and preserve all official city council records, ordinances, and resolutions with meticulous attention to detail
- Oversee public records requests, ensuring compliance with Georgia Open Records Act
- Coordinate city elections and voter registration programs
- Prepare and publish official council agendas, minutes, and legislative documentation
- Administer oaths of office and notarization services for municipal officials
- Develop records retention policies aligned with state and federal regulations
- Serve as liaison between city departments, council members, and the public
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years municipal government or records management experience
- Georgia Notary Public certification required
- Expertise in records management systems and document preservation protocols
- Deep knowledge of Georgia Sunshine Laws and municipal governance structures
- Exceptional written communication and proofreading abilities
- Proven experience managing public records request workflows
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management software
