Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the City Clerk's office, including records retention, archiving, and retrieval systems.
- Prepare and distribute official meeting minutes, agendas, and resolutions for City Council and Board meetings.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the public and media regarding municipal records and administrative requests.
- Ensure strict compliance with state and local open records laws and confidentiality protocols.
- Coordinate inter-departmental communication to ensure seamless administrative workflows.
- Perform data entry and verification tasks with a high degree of accuracy using specialized government software.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field is preferred; High School Diploma/GED required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a clerical or administrative role within a government or corporate setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with records management software.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to interact effectively with diverse populations.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
