Responsibilities
- Manage official city records, council minutes, and public document archives with meticulous accuracy
- Oversee election processes, voter registration, and compliance with state/federal election laws
- Coordinate public records requests ensuring timely, transparent responses within legal frameworks
- Lead administrative support for city council meetings, agendas, and legislative documentation
- Develop and implement record-keeping systems that optimize accessibility and security
- Serve as primary liaison between city departments and the public regarding municipal procedures
- Train staff on record management protocols and regulatory compliance standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of municipal government or public sector administrative experience
- Advanced certification in Records Management (CRM) or Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation
- Expertise in California Public Records Act (CPRA) and Brown Act compliance
- Proficiency in municipal record-keeping systems (e.g., Laserfiche, DocuWare)
- Exceptional written communication skills with demonstrated report drafting ability
- Proven project management experience with complex administrative initiatives
