Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce federal/state/local compliance regulations for public works projects
- Conduct audits and prepare detailed compliance reports for city council
- Develop and implement compliance training programs for department staff
- Liaise with regulatory agencies (EPA, OSHA, DOT) on inspection requirements
- Maintain digital compliance documentation and case management systems
- Lead cross-functional compliance committees and stakeholder meetings
- Analyze policy gaps and recommend legislative updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Environmental Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of government compliance/regulatory experience
- Professional certification (CPA, CCEP, or similar) preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and GIS software
- Expert knowledge of Kansas municipal codes and federal regulations
- Valid Kansas driver's license with clean record
- Exceptional written communication and report-writing skills
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines
