Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network traffic for security threats using advanced SIEM platforms
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal systems
- Develop and implement incident response plans for cyber attacks
- Collaborate with federal agencies to share threat intelligence and best practices
- Lead security awareness training for federal personnel
- Ensure compliance with NIST and FISMA security standards
- Document security protocols and maintain compliance documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of cybersecurity experience with federal systems
- Active CISSP or CEH certification required
- Expertise in threat detection and incident response methodologies
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and penetration testing
- Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 and FISMA compliance frameworks
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
