Responsibilities
- Lead vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of federal information systems
- Develop and implement advanced threat detection protocols and incident response plans
- Collaborate with interagency teams to coordinate cybersecurity initiatives and threat intelligence sharing
- Design and deliver cybersecurity training programs for federal employees
- Stay current on emerging cyber threats and recommend defensive strategies
- Contribute to the development of national cybersecurity policies and standards
- Manage vendor relationships for cybersecurity tools and services
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with federal government background highly valued
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+) required
- Expertise in NIST frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and compliance standards
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex technical data
- Experience with SIEM tools, threat intelligence platforms, and network security systems
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
