Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced cybersecurity protocols for federal systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Lead incident response teams during security breaches and cyberattacks
- Develop and maintain security awareness training programs for federal employees
- Collaborate with federal agencies to share threat intelligence and best practices
- Ensure compliance with FISMA, NIST, and other federal security standards
- Mentor junior security specialists and lead cross-functional security projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity with federal government experience
- CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight) and network security protocols
- Demonstrated experience with risk assessment frameworks (NIST RMF)
- Active U.S. government security clearance (or ability to obtain Top Secret)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex security concepts
