Responsibilities
- Advanced Data Analysis: Design and execute complex statistical analyses and modeling to support transportation planning and safety initiatives.
- Dashboard Development: Create and maintain interactive data visualizations (Tableau, PowerBI) to communicate insights to stakeholders and leadership.
- Data Quality Management: Oversee data governance, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and consistency of large-scale datasets.
- Project Leadership: Lead data-related projects from conception to delivery, collaborating with engineers, planners, and IT professionals.
- Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for executive leadership and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required. Master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data analysis, preferably within the public sector or transportation industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or SAS. Strong experience with data warehousing and ETL processes.
- Visualization: Expert knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
