Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex data models and reporting systems to support city-wide decision-making.
- Collect, cleanse, and validate large datasets from various municipal sources to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Create interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau or Power BI to present findings to city officials and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop metrics for city services.
- Conduct statistical analysis to forecast trends and support budget planning initiatives.
- Document data processes and provide training to non-technical staff on interpreting analytical results.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Public Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data analysis, preferably within the public sector or government.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating databases.
- Strong programming skills in Python or R for data manipulation and automation.
- Expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik Sense.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to diverse audiences.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for government security clearance.
