Responsibilities:
- Lead the analysis of complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement within the tax system.
- Develop and maintain advanced data visualizations using PowerBI and Tableau to communicate insights to stakeholders effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design data models and ensure data integrity across various systems.
- Conduct statistical modeling to forecast revenue and evaluate policy impacts.
- Prepare clear, concise reports and presentations for senior leadership and legislative bodies.
- Identify and implement automation solutions to streamline data collection and reporting workflows.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data analysis, preferably within a government or large enterprise environment.
- Expert proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Strong coding skills in Python or R for advanced analytics.
- Experience with cloud-based data warehousing solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Snowflake) is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
