Responsibilities
- Lead complex data analysis projects to support transportation policy and budgeting decisions.
- Design and maintain interactive dashboards (Power BI/Tableau) to visualize key performance metrics for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with state privacy regulations and standards.
- Prepare clear, concise reports and presentations for executive leadership and legislative bodies.
- Conduct statistical modeling to forecast trends and evaluate program outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis within the public sector or a comparable analytical role.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data extraction and manipulation.
- Strong working knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to obtain a State of Illinois security clearance.
