Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive environmental policy frameworks aligned with state regulations and community needs
- Analyze complex environmental data to identify pollution trends and recommend mitigation strategies
- Coordinate with local government agencies, NGOs, and community stakeholders on environmental initiatives
- Prepare detailed policy briefs and legislative recommendations for senior leadership
- Oversee compliance monitoring programs for industrial and commercial facilities
- Lead public engagement initiatives to ensure inclusive policy development
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Environmental Science, Public Policy, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in environmental policy analysis or regulatory compliance
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (R, Python, or SAS)
- Deep understanding of California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and federal regulations
- Experience with GIS mapping and spatial data analysis
- Proven ability to manage complex multi-stakeholder projects
- Valid California driver's license
