Responsibilities
- Develop and implement environmental compliance strategies for industrial facilities in Harris County
- Conduct site inspections, investigations, and regulatory enforcement actions
- Prepare technical reports and permit documentation for air/water quality monitoring
- Coordinate with local government agencies and community stakeholders
- Train staff on emerging environmental regulations and best practices
- Analyze environmental data using GIS and statistical modeling tools
- Represent the agency at public hearings and community outreach events
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of environmental regulatory compliance experience
- Texas Environmental Inspector certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Advanced proficiency in EPA reporting software and GIS platforms
- Demonstrated experience with hazardous waste management protocols
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex environmental data
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean record
