Responsibilities
- Develop and implement environmental compliance programs for industrial facilities
- Conduct site inspections and enforce state environmental regulations
- Prepare technical reports and policy recommendations for state legislation
- Coordinate with local agencies and community stakeholders on sustainability projects
- Analyze environmental data using GIS and statistical modeling tools
- Lead public outreach initiatives on climate resilience and pollution prevention
- Mentor junior staff and train industry partners on regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of regulatory compliance experience in government or environmental consulting
- California Environmental Assessor certification required
- Proficiency with environmental data analysis software (e.g., ESRI ArcGIS)
- Strong knowledge of California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and Clean Air Act
- Experience managing environmental impact assessments
- Excellent written communication skills for technical reports and public notices
- Valid California driver's license
