Responsibilities
- Oversee environmental compliance audits and regulatory enforcement
- Develop and implement pollution prevention programs for industrial facilities
- Analyze environmental data using GIS mapping and statistical software
- Coordinate with local agencies on habitat restoration projects
- Prepare detailed technical reports and policy recommendations
- Train junior staff on environmental regulations and procedures
- Represent the agency at public meetings and stakeholder engagements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or related field
- 5+ years of environmental compliance experience
- Valid California Environmental Specialist certification
- Advanced proficiency in ArcGIS and environmental modeling software
- Strong knowledge of federal and California environmental regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid California driver's license
- Experience managing environmental grants preferred
