Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze water quality data for regional compliance with EPA standards
- Lead field investigations of environmental violations and recommend corrective actions
- Develop comprehensive pollution prevention plans for industrial facilities
- Prepare technical reports and regulatory documentation for public hearings
- Coordinate with local government agencies on environmental policy implementation
- Train junior staff on regulatory compliance protocols
- Represent the agency at community outreach events
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of environmental compliance experience
- Valid Arizona Professional Geologist certification preferred
- Proficiency in GIS mapping and water quality modeling software
- Demonstrated experience with federal environmental regulations (RCRA, CWA)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Valid Arizona driver's license
