Responsibilities
- Develop and implement air quality improvement strategies for Philadelphia metropolitan area
- Conduct environmental compliance inspections of industrial facilities
- Analyze pollution data and prepare technical reports for regulatory action
- Coordinate with local government agencies on environmental policy initiatives
- Train junior staff on environmental regulations and enforcement protocols
- Represent DEP in public hearings and community outreach events
- Manage grant programs supporting environmental sustainability projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of regulatory compliance experience
- Professional certification in Environmental Management (e.g., CEM, CHMM)
- Strong knowledge of federal and Pennsylvania environmental regulations
- Proficiency in GIS mapping and environmental data analysis software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional evenings/weekends
