Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee county-wide sustainability plans aligned with NYC Climate Action goals
- Analyze environmental data to identify pollution sources and mitigation strategies
- Coordinate interdepartmental projects for waste management and recycling programs
- Lead community outreach initiatives on environmental compliance and education
- Prepare regulatory reports for federal/state environmental agencies
- Manage grant applications and compliance for environmental funding programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Public Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in environmental policy or urban sustainability
- Advanced proficiency in environmental data analysis tools (GIS, EPA databases)
- Knowledge of NYC environmental regulations and sustainability initiatives
- Proven grant writing and program management experience
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement
