Responsibilities
- Oversee environmental compliance programs for industrial and commercial developments
- Conduct site assessments and prepare regulatory reports for EPA/DEP requirements
- Lead stormwater management initiatives across county infrastructure projects
- Develop public education programs on sustainability and conservation practices
- Coordinate with federal/state agencies on environmental permitting processes
- Manage county's recycling and waste reduction initiatives
- Train staff on environmental regulations and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
- 5+ years of environmental compliance experience
- Valid Florida DEP Inspector/Permitting certification
- Advanced knowledge of EPA/DEP regulations and local ordinances
- GIS mapping and environmental data analysis skills
- Strong project management and stakeholder communication abilities
- Experience with environmental impact assessments
- Valid Florida driver's license
