Responsibilities
- Oversee environmental compliance inspections and enforcement actions for regulated facilities in San Antonio metropolitan area
- Develop and implement pollution prevention programs for industrial and municipal clients
- Prepare detailed technical reports and regulatory guidance documents
- Coordinate with local government agencies on environmental permitting and zoning matters
- Train businesses and communities on environmental regulations and best practices
- Analyze environmental data using GIS and statistical modeling tools
- Represent TCEQ at public hearings and stakeholder meetings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Biology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of environmental compliance/regulatory experience
- Texas Registered Environmental Specialist (RES) certification preferred
- Proficiency with EPA reporting software and environmental data management systems
- Strong knowledge of TCEQ and federal environmental regulations (RCRA, CWA, CAA)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical audiences
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Experience in environmental public outreach and community engagement
