Responsibilities
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and risk management analysis in accordance with NIST and FISMA guidelines.
- Monitor network traffic and systems for suspicious activity; respond to and mitigate cybersecurity incidents.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols.
- Conduct security awareness training and briefings for federal personnel.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal IT security policies and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Active Secret or Top Secret clearance (US Citizenship required).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in federal cybersecurity or IT security roles.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+.
- Strong understanding of network architecture and operating systems.
