Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage secure IT systems and networks that comply with federal regulations (NIST, FAR).
- Lead technical teams in troubleshooting complex network issues and ensuring system uptime.
- Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability scans to protect sensitive federal data.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define technical requirements and project scopes.
- Manage software licensing, hardware inventory, and vendor relationships for federal contracts.
- Ensure all IT documentation is current, accurate, and accessible to the team.
- Train junior staff and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions on best practices for federal IT security.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in federal or government IT environments.
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance (preferred) or the ability to obtain one.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, cloud computing (AWS/Azure), and cybersecurity principles.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools (Jira, MS Project).
