We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead critical technology initiatives for the State of North Carolina. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full project lifecycle from initiation through closure for large-scale IT initiatives.
- Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure delivery on time and within budget.
- Communicate project status, progress, and blockers to executive stakeholders and government officials.
- Ensure all deliverables comply with state and federal regulatory requirements and security standards.
- Mentor junior project managers and coordinate with cross-functional teams including developers, designers, and subject matter experts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional) certification is required.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive project management experience in the public sector or enterprise environment.
- Proven experience managing large-scale, complex IT projects with budgets exceeding $5M.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL, Agile methodologies, and government procurement processes.
- Exceptional negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
