We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Federal IT Specialist to join our night shift operations team in Sacramento, CA. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and availability of federal information systems during off-peak hours. You will work in a dynamic 24/7 environment supporting national security initiatives and ensuring seamless IT operations.

Responsibilities
- Monitor federal network traffic and system performance using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar).
- Respond to and resolve Level 2 and Level 3 technical incidents during the night shift.
- Perform regular security patching and system maintenance to ensure compliance with FedRAMP standards.
- Conduct routine backups and restore procedures to safeguard critical data.
- Document all incidents, resolutions, and system changes in the ticketing system (ServiceNow).
- Collaborate with day shift teams to hand over status reports and pending issues.
- Enforce security protocols and conduct access control reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Certification such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or Federal-specific IT certifications.
- Active Public Trust or Secret clearance (or eligibility to obtain).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support or systems administration within a federal or government environment.
- Availability to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and Windows/Linux administration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
