Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive policy recommendations aligned with federal security priorities and Texas-specific needs
- Coordinate intergovernmental relations with state agencies, local municipalities, and tribal governments
- Analyze emerging threats and vulnerabilities to inform strategic decision-making
- Prepare detailed briefing materials and testimony for congressional hearings
- Manage stakeholder engagement across federal, state, and local government channels
- Oversee implementation of federal programs with state/local partnerships
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years federal policy experience with state/local government coordination
- Advanced degree in Public Policy, Homeland Security, or related field
- Active Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
- Expertise in federal grant management and compliance frameworks
- Proven track record in cross-jurisdictional policy development
- Strong analytical skills with policy impact assessment experience
- Excellent written/verbal communication with congressional liaison experience
