Responsibilities
- Analyze local and state legislation impacts on municipal operations
- Develop comprehensive policy recommendations for City Council review
- Coordinate interdepartmental task forces on urban planning initiatives
- Prepare clear executive summaries and policy briefings
- Manage public comment periods and community feedback systems
- Represent the City at regional government forums
- Track budget allocations for policy implementation
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years government or municipal policy experience
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R)
- Strong legislative research and writing capabilities
- NC driver's license with clean record
- Experience with public budgeting processes
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Knowledge of Raleigh's zoning codes
