Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of federal contracts from initiation through closeout, ensuring strict adherence to FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific regulations.
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, analysts, and administrative staff to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.
- Foster strong relationships with government stakeholders, program managers, and internal leadership to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, developing robust contingency plans to keep programs on track.
- Prepare and present detailed performance reports, status briefings, and financial forecasts to executive leadership and government clients.
- Conduct internal audits and quality assurance reviews to maintain compliance and certification standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of experience managing federal contracts or working within a government contracting environment (DOD or DHS preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related technical field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance (or the ability to obtain one) is required.
- Professional Project Management (PMP) certification strongly desired.
- Strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to brief senior leadership effectively.
