Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure for federal clients in compliance with NIST and FISMA standards.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Manage access controls and user authentication protocols to safeguard sensitive government data.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to mitigate cyber threats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy software updates and system patches efficiently.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior system administrators.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for all system configurations and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain one).
- 5+ years of experience in federal or government IT environments.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CCNP, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interaction.
