Responsibilities
- Analyze municipal budgets and financial reports to ensure compliance with state regulations
- Develop long-term financial forecasts and strategic fiscal planning documents
- Manage grant allocations and compliance reporting for federal/state programs
- Collaborate with department heads on capital improvement project funding
- Present financial data to city council and public stakeholders
- Implement process improvements for financial reporting systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Public Administration
- 5+ years of government or nonprofit financial analysis experience
- CPA or CMA certification preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial software (SAP, Oracle)
- Knowledge of Texas municipal accounting standards (GASB)
- Strong analytical and presentation skills
- US citizenship and clean background check required
