Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update interactive web maps and GIS databases using ArcGIS and other industry-standard software.
- Analyze spatial data to support county planning initiatives, transportation projects, and environmental studies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality geospatial solutions for internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform data quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) to ensure accuracy and compliance with state and federal standards.
- Lead technical training sessions and create comprehensive documentation for GIS best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Urban Planning, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in GIS analysis and application development.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and Python scripting (PyScripter or Jupyter Notebooks).
- Strong knowledge of SQL, database management, and spatial statistics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data to non-technical audiences.
