Responsibilities
- Analyze complex government data to support budget formulation and policy development for Miami-Dade County.
- Prepare detailed reports, memos, and presentations for the County Commission and executive leadership.
- Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local regulations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Conduct research on emerging trends in public administration to recommend strategic improvements.
- Collaborate with interdepartmental teams to streamline government processes and enhance service delivery.
- Assist in the development of long-term strategic plans and capital improvement projects.
- Maintain accurate records and databases related to fiscal operations and grant management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Finance, Political Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in government analysis, public policy, or fiscal management.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and government-specific software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of Miami-Dade County government structure, ordinances, and budgeting processes.
- Certification in Government Auditing (CAG) or PMP is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
