Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research and data analysis to evaluate the impact of proposed government policies and urban development projects in New York City.
- Prepare high-level reports, briefings, and presentations for executive leadership and the City Council to support decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with interdepartmental teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on strategic objectives and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor legislative changes at the state and local levels to ensure agency initiatives remain current and compliant.
- Lead project management tasks, including budget oversight, timeline tracking, and resource allocation for government programs.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation regarding policy frameworks and procedural guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Urban Planning, Economics, or a related field required; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in government affairs, public policy analysis, or a related sector.
- Strong understanding of New York State and New York City government structure, procurement processes, and regulatory agencies.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Tableau, SQL) and government grant management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
