Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Support: Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and hardware systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Technical Assistance: Provide expert Level 2 and Level 3 technical support to federal staff, resolving hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Security Compliance: Assist in maintaining compliance with federal security protocols, including NIST standards and FISMA regulations.
- System Administration: Perform routine system backups, patch management, and configuration updates on servers and workstations.
- Hardware Management: Manage the lifecycle of IT assets, including the deployment, repair, and disposal of computer equipment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred; Associate degree with equivalent experience accepted.
- Clearance: Current Public Trust clearance (or eligibility to obtain one) is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, Windows Server, and TCP/IP networking.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical personnel.
- Flexibility: Ability to work part-time hours while meeting strict deadlines and project requirements.
