Responsibilities
- Research, identify, and pursue high-value grant opportunities from federal, state, private, and corporate funders
- Develop compelling, data-driven grant proposals and applications exceeding $500K annually
- Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with program officers and funding partners
- Collaborate with program directors to align funding requests with organizational impact goals
- Manage complex grant reporting requirements and compliance documentation
- Mentor junior staff on grant development best practices and compliance protocols
- Track funding trends and maintain competitive intelligence in philanthropic landscape
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Master's preferred) with 5+ years grant writing experience
- Proven track record securing $1M+ in annual grant funding for nonprofit organizations
- Expertise in federal grants (SAM.gov), state agencies, and private foundation applications
- Exceptional writing/editing skills with demonstrated ability to translate complex data into persuasive narratives
- Advanced knowledge of nonprofit accounting, compliance, and reporting requirements
- Proficiency in grant management systems (e.g., Salesforce NPSP, GrantStation)
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple simultaneous deadlines
