Responsibilities
- Research and identify federal, state, and private grant opportunities aligned with organizational priorities
- Develop persuasive grant proposals with compelling narratives, budgets, and impact metrics
- Cultivate relationships with program officers and foundation representatives
- Manage grant reporting requirements and compliance documentation
- Analyze funding trends and position organization for competitive advantage
- Mentor junior staff on grant development best practices
- Collaborate with program teams to ensure deliverable alignment
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional grant writing experience with $1M+ secured funding
- Proven success with federal (SAM.gov) and foundation grant applications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Master's preferred)
- Exceptional writing, editing, and data visualization skills
- Deep knowledge of Reno/Tahoe regional funding landscape
- Advanced proficiency in grant management systems (e.g., GrantStation)
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Portfolio of 3+ successfully funded grant proposals
