Responsibilities
- Research and identify federal, state, and private funding opportunities aligned with organizational goals
- Develop compelling grant proposals and applications exceeding $500K annually
- Manage relationships with 50+ current and potential funders
- Collaborate with program teams to gather impact data and success stories
- Maintain accurate grant tracking systems and compliance documentation
- Lead grant strategy sessions and report writing workshops
- Secure an average of 15-20 new grants annually
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field
- 5+ years of professional grant writing experience with $1M+ secured funding
- Proven success with federal (SAM.gov), state, and private foundation applications
- Exceptional writing/editing skills with portfolio samples required
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and grant management software
- Deep understanding of nonprofit accounting and compliance requirements
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines with attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative mindset
