Responsibilities
- Research, identify, and pursue federal, state, and private funding opportunities aligned with our organizational priorities
- Develop compelling, data-driven grant proposals and narratives that demonstrate program impact and financial need
- Manage a portfolio of 15-20 active grant applications with 95% on-time submission rate
- Collaborate with program directors to translate complex initiatives into persuasive funding requests
- Build and maintain relationships with foundation officers and government grantors
- Prepare grant budgets and financial narratives in compliance with funder requirements
- Track grant outcomes and prepare reports for funders and internal stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of professional grant writing experience with $5M+ in secured funding
- Proven success with federal, state, and private foundation grant applications
- Exceptional writing skills with ability to translate technical information into compelling narratives
- Expertise in budget development and financial reporting for grants
- Strong research skills and familiarity with grant databases (e.g., Candid, GrantStation)
- Experience working in nonprofit or healthcare sectors highly valued
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
