Responsibilities
- Research and identify new funding opportunities aligned with organizational mission and strategic goals
- Develop persuasive grant proposals, budgets, and supplementary materials for diverse funding sources
- Manage a portfolio of 15+ active grants ensuring timely submissions and compliance requirements
- Cultivate relationships with program officers and foundation representatives
- Analyze funding trends and competitive landscapes to inform strategy
- Mentor grant writing team members and improve departmental processes
- Prepare compelling reports for funders demonstrating program impact and outcomes
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional grant writing experience with proven track record of securing $1M+ annually
- Expertise in federal (SAM.gov), state (ODS), and private foundation funding landscapes
- Exceptional writing ability with samples demonstrating persuasive grant narratives
- Proficiency in grants management software (e.g., Salesforce NPSP, GrantStation)
- Strong project management skills with ability to meet tight deadlines
- Experience working with nonprofit organizations in Oklahoma preferred
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Communications, Nonprofit Management, etc.)
