Responsibilities
- Research and identify grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies
- Develop compelling grant proposals and applications aligned with organizational goals
- Cultivate relationships with funders through strategic outreach and stewardship
- Collaborate with program teams to gather impact data and success stories
- Manage grant reporting requirements and ensure compliance with funder guidelines
- Track funding trends and identify emerging opportunities in philanthropy
- Maintain accurate grant calendars and application deadlines
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of professional grant writing experience
- Proven track record of securing $500K+ in annual grant funding
- Expertise in federal, state, and private foundation grant processes
- Exceptional writing/editing skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Experience with grant databases (e.g., Instrumentl, GrantStation)
- Strong project management and deadline-driven approach
- Knowledge of nonprofit financial management principles
