Responsibilities
- Oversee the security posture of federal and state information systems to ensure compliance with NIST and FISMA standards.
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Agency Information Security Program (AISP).
- Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Manage incident response procedures and coordinate with law enforcement during cybersecurity events.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior security analysts and IT staff.
- Review and approve system security plans and authorization packages for system owners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Systems Security, specifically within the public sector or government contracting.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC GCIH are required.
- Active Top Secret security clearance.
- Deep understanding of FISMA, NIST SP 800-53, and CUI requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
